I've always been a sports person. Playing lacrosse has taught me to set goals and to work hard to achieve them. I also love watching all sports, especially football. My mom says I decided at a young age that I didn't want to wear anything other than sport related t-shirts and jerseys. It's funny because even today that is what I wear.
I always ask for a jersey for Christmas and they have become some of my favorite pieces of clothing. I am constantly reminded of how fortunate I am and how much I have to be thankful for. I've been setting goals my whole life from school to sports and now in helping other kids around the world. I smile when I wear jerseys. Having a team to support and a sport to play helps me set goals. I hope by giving out these jerseys I can spread just a little bit of cheer to kids who just might find happiness and a goal of their own through Sport-a-kid!
